Strawberry Banana Cashew Delight
This is a beautiful, yummy beverage that is healthy too. Adding cashew~nuts and spice creates a variation. They enhance the flavor and the taste. Adding the protein powder makes it almost a quick meal. Refreshing and invigorating. Very easy to make. If you are Vegan, instead of milk, use almond milk or soy milk.

Ingredients
- 2 cups Ripe Strawberries (stems trimmed)
- 2 Ripe Bananas (peeled)
- 1/4 - 1/2 cup Cashew nuts
- 2 cups Milk (Cold)
- 2 cups Ice Cubes
- 2 - 4 tablespoons Sugar (Or Sugar Substitute)
Optional
- 1/8 teaspoon Nutmeg (powdered)
- 2 cups Almond Milk (Or Water)
- 1/2 - 1 scoop Protein Powder (unflavored or vanilla flavored)
Note
Options:
1) If you cannot take sugar, use a sugar substitute. It becomes diabetic-safe.
2) You can substitute milk with almond milk, soy milk or water. It becomes vegan.
3) If you want the drink very smooth, you can soak the almonds in warm water for a few hours, peel the skin off, and then blend along with the rest of the ingredients.
4) If strawberries are not available, you can use plums or fruits that have a sweet and sour taste.
5) I used flavor-free, sucralose-free, fine protein powder. But if you like, you can use vanilla flavored protein powder. If it has sucralose too, (or some kind of sugar substitute), don't add any further sugar or sugar substitute, unless you want it that sweet.
Directions
Step 1 | |
Place the strawberries, bananas, cashews, nutmeg, milk, sugar and ice cubes in a large blender. If you like, add the protein powder too. | |
Step 2 | |
Blend from low to high, until the mixture is smooth. | |
Step 3 | |
Serve cold. |
