Simple Stir-Fried Onions

Sometimes a simple item gives the greatest satisfaction. Take, for instance, simple stir-fried onions. Except for a few, everybody loves onions. And this dish becomes more delectable because of just one spice which is not only aromatic and tasty, but also very healthy. If onion is hard to digest for some people, the cumin will definitely make it easier.

Simple Stir-Fried Onions

Serves 2
Cook time 5 minutes

Ingredients

  • 2 Onion (Sliced (thick slices, see picture))
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin Seeds
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 2 tablespoons Oil

Directions

Step 1
Place non-stick fry pan on medium heat.
Step 2
Add oil. When oil is hot, add cumin seeds. Stir fry until cumin seeds are slightly fried.
Step 3
Add sliced onions and salt. Stir fry and cook for 5 minutes, or until onions are cooked but firm. Do not overcook.
Step 4
Serve hot as a side dish or in sandwiches.
