Sometimes a simple item gives the greatest satisfaction. This side dish becomes more delectable because of just one aromatic and healthy spice.
Place non-stick fry pan on medium heat.
Add oil. When oil is hot, add cumin seeds. Stir fry for a minute, until cumin seeds are slightly fried.
Set the heat to low. Add the onions and salt.
Stir fry and cook for 5 minutes, or until onions are cooked but firm. Do not overcook or let the onions become brown.
You can add a tablespoon of chopped cilantro and mix well.
Serve hot as a side dish, or in a sandwich.
