Veggie Fruit Smoothie

Sometimes we wish that we could get the benefits of both vegetables and fruits at the same time. However, not all the vegetables and fruits go well together.  This recipe takes a couple of green vegetables and a couple of popular fruits, and results in a refreshing, tasty and healthy beverage. Especially delightful during hot summer days.

Ingredients

  • 1 - 2 cup Cucumber (peeled if the skin is not tender; cut into chunks)
  • 1 - 2 cup Leaf Spinach (frozen or fresh)
  • 2 cups Pineapple Chunks (canned or fresh)
  • 2 cups Apple Chunks (cored; peeled or unpeeled; cut into chunks)
  • 2 cups Ice Cubes
  • 2 cups Ice Cold Water

Directions

Step 1
Combine all the ingredients in a large blender.
Step 2
Blend until smooth.
Step 3
Serve cold.
